  • My car won't start, there are no lights, no horn, no power.
    Check battery for loose terminals.
    Check battery, if battery is discharged, charge battery.
  • My car won't start, there is power but slow engine crank.
    Check battery for loose terminals.
    Check terminal connections for loose or dirty connections.
    Check negative ground connections.
    Check battery, if battery is discharged, charge battery.

  • The battery terminals and area around the battery are always corroded.
    Check solution level, do not overfill.
    Check that the charging system is not overcharging. Ideal voltage reading should be 13.4 volts to 14.6 volts, a charge of 15 volts and above will overcharge the battery.
    Check for leaks in the battery casing.
    Check for clogged caps, pressure will push the solution out of the battery regardless of solution height.
    Check the case and caps for signs of heating.
  • The lights of my car only brighten when I rev the engine.
    Check for loose terminals causing intermittent power.
    Check charging system is charging properly. Ideal voltage reading should be 13.4 to 14.6 volts.
    Check that the charging system is not overloaded. Use only the required capacity load for your charging system.
  • My car won't start, I haven't used it for one (1) month.
    Check battery. A battery will discharge within forty-five (45) days even when not in use and the discharging rate is faster during cold temperatures. Have the battery slow charged.
  • My car won't start but only during the mornings.
    Check battery terminals.
    Check battery charging condition.
  • My car engine is running but the battery icon on my dashboard remain lighted.
    Check charging system. This icon indicates that you are using the power from your battery instead of your charging system.
